Preparation, Properties and Applications of the Hybrid Organic/Inorganic Nanocomposite Based on Nanoporous Carbon Matrix

Nanoporous carbon matrix was prepared by the sol–gel process from pyrogallol-formaldehyde (PF) mixtures in water using picric acid as catalyst. For second sample, nickel oxide nanoparticles were added PF to get a PF/NiO hybrid organic/inorganic nanocomposite. After drying step, samples heat treated for two hours at 650 °C tubular furnace under open nitrogen atmosphere. The XRD analysis shows that is amorphous while nanocomposite exhibited metallic phase of nickel. average value crystallites deduced Scherrer’s equation found be about 35 nm. TEM images indicate existence nanopores and presence which are dispersed randomly matrix. adsorption–desorption revealed pore size equal 1.9 nm 2.6 So, adsorption capacities dioxide (CO2) methane (CH4) show has highest low pressures where micropores dominant tends adsorb gases better high pressure mesopores. V(I) characteristics showed can considered smart material. Indeed, characteristic behavior adjusted according maximum applied current. Electrochemical measurements have shown very promising detection non-enzymatic glucose with sensitivity 76 µA/mM.cm?2 limit lower than 0.03 µM. absorption spectra addition NiO increased Urbach energy disorder
